An Outside Opportunity...

For those of you who have experienced the high school life, you know that, especially now, the demands on your time and attention, the options for learning and developing your skills and interests, are diverse and potentially overwhelming. Trying to organize your experience, to prioritize your commitments, can make things very challenging.

On the other hand, the opportunities to extend your learnings, to specialize your skills, to go deeper toward your dreams, abound!

Given both of those things in regard to theatre, not being able to squeeze theatre classes or productions into your high school schedule AND/OR wanting to get even more time and practice in your art than our comprehensive high school allows, I will share opportunities and trusted partners with our community when I hear about them. One such is below!

It's Finally Here! Announcing the Fall (?!) Film Festival 21/22!

Playing now on our YouTube channel: It's the Fall Film Festival ...in January! After a long delay, we are proud to present the films of our Fall Film Festival . These six shorts, written and produced by (SW)2 student-artists, are the product of hours of hard work and creativity in the face of ever-changing performance guidelines to start the 21/22 school year. A Time-Sensitive, But Awesome Local/National Project!

So...this was something that came across my email recently: For anyone who is looking to get involved with a real-world, but virtually produced, project to fill their creative niche, this is the one for you! Top-shelf local directors, a variety of phenomenal local youth and adult talent...it's an awesome opportunity, y'all! But the timeline is short! Here Comes The Trick-And-Eat Food Drive Event!

Join us this Sunday, October 31st (Halloween...duh!) at 600pm in the Vermont St Parking Lot for our annual Trick-And-Eat Food Drive! Here are the details, if you'd like to get dressed up and do some trick-or-treating in support of our Neighborhood House Food Pantry: 1) When: Sunday, starting at 600pm, ending no later than 800pm 2) Where: Starting at the IBWHS Vermont St parking lot and fanning out through five-ish zones through the neighborhood between IBWHS and Fred Meyer 3) What: Trick-or-Treating door-to-door through the neighborhood, asking for non-perishable food for the Neighborhood House Food Pantry 4) How: We'll meet at the parking lot by 600pm and break into 4-6 teams of trick-or-treaters, each getting a mapped 'zone' to tackle over the two hours from 600pm-800pm. Each team should have the following supplies - (1) Wagon or Cart; (2-4) 'Trick-or-Treat' Canvas bags to gather food to take to the wagon/cart; (3-6) people to cover both sides of the street....
