Columbia College Hollywood is excited to announce our virtual high school digital media Festival, “New Horizons 2021” to be held on May 1st 2021.

 

High School filmmakers, animators and graphic designers, CCH is inviting you to submit  work to be judged by industry experts!

 

 After a historic year of change, we encourage our young artists to consider what’s next?  What might the future hold?  What is the best/worst part of leaving 2020 behind? Essentially what does “New Horizons 2021” mean to you.  We’re asking all interested students to consider this theme while creating their submissions. 

 

Submissions are now open, we encourage educators to make this a class assignment!

PRIZES INCLUDE

1st place in each category- $500 Visa gift card + the option of $500 more in a stipend if student chooses to attend CCH

 

2nd place in each category- $300 Visa gift card + the option of $300 more in a stipend if student chooses to attend CCH 

 

3rd place in each category- $150 Visa gift card + the option of $150 more in a stipend if student chooses to attend CCH

Here Comes The Trick-And-Eat Food Drive Event!

 Join us this Sunday, October 31st (Halloween...duh!) at 600pm in the Vermont St Parking Lot for our annual Trick-And-Eat Food Drive! Here are the details, if you'd like to get dressed up and do some trick-or-treating in support of our Neighborhood House Food Pantry: 1) When: Sunday, starting at 600pm, ending no later than 800pm 2) Where: Starting at the IBWHS Vermont St parking lot and fanning out through five-ish zones through the neighborhood between IBWHS and Fred Meyer 3) What: Trick-or-Treating door-to-door through the neighborhood, asking for non-perishable food for the Neighborhood House Food Pantry 4) How: We'll meet at the parking lot by 600pm and break into 4-6 teams of trick-or-treaters, each getting a mapped 'zone' to tackle over the two hours from 600pm-800pm.  Each team should have the following supplies - (1) Wagon or Cart; (2-4) 'Trick-or-Treat' Canvas bags to gather food to take to the wagon/cart; (3-6) people to cover both sides of the street.
