Join the Young Professionals for a three-part online series of performances! The Breaking Character series highlights the teen voice and perspective of the talented YPs through original stories and songs. Hurry, these performances are only available through Wednesday, February 10!
About the Performances

"Frames of Mind"

In the premiere performance of our series, seven YPs present stories crafted from their unique voice, developed in collaboration with Matthew B. Zrebski, Director/Dramaturg. Featuring performances by Karli Jean Lonnquist , Riley Schreiber, Tessa A. Lignore, London Mahaley, Holland Rhoads, Eli Carey, and Sylvia Grosvold. Recommended for ages 14+ due to mature language, imagery, and subject matter.

YP Cabaret 
In this musical showcase, the YPs express themselves genuinely through song and story. Host Lucy Ames, along with accompanist-extraordinaire Darcy White, bring joy, laughter, heart, and soul to the virtual stage.  Featuring performances by Audrey Campbell, Celia Castillo-Torres, London Mahaley, Lucy Ames, and Ryder Thompson. Recommended for ages 12+.

"Below the Camera, Outside of the Box"
Our final performance in the Breaking Character series is an original play written by our YPs, using issues and topics important to teens. Featuring Aleena Yee, Ethan Thompson, Irie Page, Lana Sage, Lulu Kashiwabara, Tia Lempert, and Max Young. Recommended for ages 13+ due to mature themes.

A Statement Of Our Principles

In This Time... Words matter.  Anyone who knows me, and has had to endure a long-winded in-person or multi-character typewritten spiel on anything from breakfast that morning, to the minutiae of a Marvel movie, to the justification for an assignment (see below this post), knows that words matter to me greatly, and that it can take me a long time to find the right ones...especially on something as big as the things we are experiencing right now.  And yet...they're failing me in my desire to find what feels like the 'right thing' to say about this moment where the myth of equal rights and protections in our country have been laid bare in a way that has resonated bigger and more intensely than it has in a very long time. Ultimately I'm a small person in a small corner of the country's whitest major city.  I have been, and remain, phenomenally privileged in my life in every way.  I have had little to no practical exposure to bias, to bigotry, to hatred, or to violen...
