Hey there, theatre friends!
Here is your weekly dose of free streaming options for live theatre performances...and some bonus content!
Remember, if you're in one of my classes, then viewing theatre will be an available learning opportunity; if you're not in one of my classes consider these as some interesting options to see some live theatre and keep those creative juices flowing. Here are a few links for this week:
National Theatre Live - This Week: Antony and Cleopatra featuring Ralph Fiennes (through May 14)
The Week to Come: The Barbershop Chronicles (May 14-21)*
*for those looking for more diversity in theatre, this is a good dive into Black theatre that isn't August Wilson*
The Shows Must Go On!/Lloyd Webber - This Week: CATS (no, not the movie) (May 15-16)
Other Listings (from Filmed Onstage): LINK
Documentary: For those of you who love shows like How It's Made, or How Stuff Works, here is a link to the theatre version...very easy to go down a rabbit hole with these:
Working In The Theatre
Coming Soon: We Are One, a global film festival (May 29) -
This collaboration among some of the world's major film festivals (including Cannes, Sundance, Venice, Tribeca, and Toronto, among others), it's a 10-Day festival of films from around the world. Major event!!!
Coming Soon: Hamilton (July 1) -
I can't link this one...but if you ain't heard about Hamilton (with the original cast) dropping on Disney+ in July, well...now you have.
Enjoy!
