The Wilson Arts Online Gallery

It's Alive!

For those of you who didn't know, the Wilson Visual and Performing Arts have been joining together to create pieces of art around themes exploring our newfound norm of home seclusion.  HOME, SELF, BALANCE, and CONNECTION have been themes of our work so far, with more to come.

A part of that has been to create and inspire artwork as a part of this isolation that we can share with our community.  As of now, that Gallery is live!

Wilson Arts On The Web

While the Theatre community (ahem!) has been a bit slow to respond, there are some amazing pieces from across the Arts disciplines up there now.  Take a moment to scroll through and see what your colleagues have been doing with their time away from Wilson...and just maybe you'll be inspired to see what you can create and share!

**Note: You'll need to be logged in to your PPS Google account to be able to access the Gallery...It's not set for full Public view for a variety of reasons...

A Statement Of Our Principles

In This Time... Words matter.  Anyone who knows me, and has had to endure a long-winded in-person or multi-character typewritten spiel on anything from breakfast that morning, to the minutiae of a Marvel movie, to the justification for an assignment (see below this post), knows that words matter to me greatly, and that it can take me a long time to find the right ones...especially on something as big as the things we are experiencing right now.  And yet...they're failing me in my desire to find what feels like the 'right thing' to say about this moment where the myth of equal rights and protections in our country have been laid bare in a way that has resonated bigger and more intensely than it has in a very long time. Ultimately I'm a small person in a small corner of the country's whitest major city.  I have been, and remain, phenomenally privileged in my life in every way.  I have had little to no practical exposure to bias, to bigotry, to hatred, or to violen...
